Hey... I believe 2draw v2 should have a 15+ or 16+ extra rating, for soft nudity, like depiction of bare breasts... if those pictures are rated 13+, some people may not want to see them, and if they're 18+, some people may want to see them and not full nudity/violence ones...

Marcello disagrees, saying it would only make matters worse.

Thoughts on the issue are appreciated.

I agree with him. People have enough trouble deciding how to rate their drawings as it is. Adding more ratings will just make it harder to decide. Also, breasts aren't always portrayed in a vulgar manner. Take a look at the Sistine Chapel - There are plenty of nudes in it. And that's there for ALL eyes to see.

I don't find any sort of 'natural' nude as vulgar, but some do.

yes, bad idea. the more i think about it the more annoying the ratings are when they are done by age. 15+ or 16+ vs 13+ just makes people way more confused than necessary, and it STILL doesn't imply what exactly you're going to see since it's up to the artist's interpretation of the age ratings in the first place.

i've stopped giving a damn. afterall, it's a little impractical for me to whine about the rating system when i just end up putting it to it's most hardcore setting anyway. (i can't bare to miss one of XOD's masterpiece's). with this in mind, it would make more sense for me to agree that less complicated and more confining ratings are for the best. after all, i think there are only a small percent of people here who don't actually have there settings on 'hardcore' (although i know there are a few)

I personally use the defaults, not because I mind myself, but if I'm showing someone the site, it's generally for the best. ;-)
