Ok here's the deal, I need someone to draw a husky (the dog) with it's mouth wide open and growling. I am making a design for a pop machine and the husky's mouth is where the pop is going to come out. I am entering it in a contest and If I win I will give the designer $20 for their artwork. This must be done in photoshop due to the large scale that I am working with, the dimension of the pop machine opening is 7in by 14in. It's a rectangle and I want the husky to be a decent size. So if anyone could draw one up that'd be great. Oh by the way, the colors I need it to be are black white and grey, maybe with a red tongue. Here's a pic of what the husky, our mascot looks like and what colors to use http://www5.stcloudstate.edu/bookstore/images/blizzard.gif

Hehe, wow 1 entry already. Good job guys and keep posting if you can. That's a good start but keep in mind that I need it to be actually really huge. So yeah. Oh and it doesn't have to have that collar on it if you don't want to draw that.

Yeah, remember that he's asking for a 7x14 picture. The minimum resolution to print something out is around 72dpi, which means you'll need a canvas that is at least 504x1008 pixels.

Oh.... uhm, well, I can't really enlarge it on 2Draw, but if I install photoshop I might be able to. ^_^;

So wait. I just read the post again, and let me see if I've got this straight. You're asking for an artist to come up with a design for you to enter in a contest and you'll give them $20 for their efforts if the entry wins? What work are you going to contribute? How much does a winning entry in the contest pay out total? Is there a website for the contest that the artist can visit to see what's going on? I don't want to see any of our artists getting taken advantage of here.

seems a little unethical to win a contest off another person's art.... you're misrepresenting yourself and the artist if you take credit for it yourself

Whoa just take it easy guys. If you read the whole post you would understand what's going on. I am creating a design for my pop machines at my school. I'm not forcing anyone to do this, I'm just asking people to create/draw a husky so I can put it on my design, if no one does it, I'll do it myself. I just wanted to see if anyone was interested. But yes you are right, If it's a contest that I'm winning I should do the work myself. Thanks.

yes, I'm right, you should do the work yourself.

Zack, I was kinda surprised with your first post here, cause I agree with your second one here...I was gonna say that 20 bucks isn't much and seems like he'd be earning the larger benefit from your work...not to mention it seems like cheap plagiarism.

yes, and if you read it carefully, they only get the mere, meager $20 IF he wins off his plagiaristic scheme. Little con artist... go to the corner.

The fact he didn't share what the prize for winning the contest itself was, nor answer any of the other questions that were asked(right after Zack asked), leaves you with something to be suspicious about too. I think these are the type of people you should watch out for in the real world...

Poo! I live in Poole, so 20 dollars is nothing, I need 25 pounds! But I love drawing Huskies and Wolves, I'll do it for free!

If it is YOUR contest entry, then it should be entirely your own work, and it's nothing more complicated than that.
