I have just started drawing, and when I tried to draw something, it looked... well to put it mildly, it sucked. I have looked other peoples drawings, and the are AWESOME! I was wondering, how in the world do you people draw so well!!!!

It's natural talent. Either that or tablets. And familarity with the program we are using.

Well i do believe i must go and find some talent. I will draw something halfway decent if it is the last thing I ever do!

Just keep trying, you'll get it. If you like to draw and paint then you will catch on to the programs. Hell I've been drawing for years and I'm still learning, with art it is a never ending learning process. Oh, and a tablet doesn't hurt, as long as they only drop it on your toes.

Tablets don't have anything to do with it. The only advantage would probably be that it's quicker. That's it.

yep, that's tablets in a nutshell. faster and more ergonomic.

I also think an avantage with the tablet is that you might be able to draw more like you do irl...

Actually, I think it's pretty different from drawing in real life. The surface on which you draw on is completely different. And an unexperienced user will find it uncomfortable if you're used to drawing with a regular pen or pencil. That alone makes it hard to draw on.It's also why I own a tablet but don't bother to use it.

I wouldn't know about tablets... though I'm sure it'd be easier if I actually used the hand I draw and write with!

it's because we're all magical cheese creatures that are ruled by our badger king, Marcello O_O thus we have uber 1337 magical drawing skillz >_> or maybe you lack patience? :\

there's no magic pill to becoming good at art. it takes practice. some people pick up quickly, others take more time, that's life.

tablets do help make things quicker, but when you want uber precision, use a mouse at high magnification... anyhow... well, its practice for me... just look up the account darkk_angel.... thats what I used to draw :) and then look at my earlier drawings on this account... su><0rz... :) but I've been practicing alot lately, so my stuff has improved a wee bit... I still suxorz, but who cares ^_^
