Those pictures remind me of a book I read once called Dungeon. Scottish laird goes to China, buys girl with bound feet, takes her home, goes nuts, locks her in dungeon, she puts curse on him and dies, he gets even more nuts and her friend locks him in a cell and he dies too. It really is a good book though.
