HI, HOPE THIS OK TO DISCUSS TECHNICAL HERE! YES, my very old, great, 20 in. "Hatachi Rasrerops superscan Mc 20c" huge old monitor, quite a few years old, is sending bright white flashes across the screen, ESPECIALLY WHEN I DO ART, (??) and probably getting ready to blow.

I been told, an LED Monitor is best, but i don't get into a Consumer magazine(they charge you) to read rated monitors, so i'm asking art-computer-people what they think are top monitor brands, types, best wearibility, (this Hitachi lasted for many years! )

do they still make em? and the colors were wonderful)) best quality color and screen quality because i
will be doing lots of art on it, so color-hue-,amt. of full spectrum is important. (I got the Hitachi years ago, thru a Machintosh outlet factory-catalog, and put full spectrum colors at the factory,)I never had any trouble with it, great picture, swivel base, don't wanta get rid of it, no one will repair it. must be at least ten or twenty yrs. old.

("i LOVE JAPANESE ELECTRONICS! THEY USED TO BE GODS! ")

IN fact, if you you know of a Japanese brand that is still very well made, let me know; I'm still discriminating in favor of any good Japanese brands.) Ok, now that Ive shot international relations by being biasd in favor of Japanese, WHAT does everyone recommend? I need about 20 or 21 in. screen at least. WHATDYASAY? HEH HEH.all advice considered, including other sources for information.

THANK YOU! :)

Uh, aren't all brands Japanese? If it was American made, I think they would say "Made in America/USA". But even if they were made in USA, it's probably an asian company.

Anyways I have an Acer H233H 21 inch monitor. ( I think it's 21 not sure anymore) Cost me about $240.00 at the time. Image looks awesome but it is an LCD. I have to sit up straight to see it the way it's supposed to look. Otherwise when I slouch, it's a bit dark. You would not have that problem with LED.

ok, thanks for the advice. no, all stuff like that is made mostly in CHINA NOW, even Japanese brands, which is why you have to be careful buying hardware; the Chinese stuff is no where as good as the old versions.electronics guy told me, they make everything in China now, and its much inferiior to old Japanese stuff. I can testify to that, too.

(I hate to mention my worry that when all the old, well-built appliancee of all kinds, get old, and wear out, all we will have left to buy, will be the badly-made junk that China turns out, that lasts for 6 months, burns out, and you have to buy a NEW ONE--A new piece of junk.--And that will be ONLY THING LEFT TO USE. (SH--T!!)

its enough to make me wish a disease-epidemic of "The Stand"--type-dimensions on China, and tell them" try copying and making a serum-cure for this, guys! it's going to have work well, this time, not like your usual bad junk."--- but i'm too nice a person to wish that on anyone. NAAAHHH!!" >;)

(ok, later, i bought a great Dell high-quality monitor, which was right from Dell itself.I like it a lot.Just one problem; my Hitachi Rasterops Super Scan Mc 20, the older monitor, NEVER BLEW OUT!!In fact, it stopped having any more trouble! it's FINE! I DON'T even need it yet!wow.Yeah,Hitachi is still going strong, great picture, color, ect.WOW. HAW HAW1 I don't really wanta sell it.Maybe I should write to Hitachi and tell them,"Why did you Japanese make such great electronics? it won't wear out!!"(Confucious say,"Forget old Chinese wisdom, cause Hitachi is still THE WAY!" HA HA.
