Hey everybody. It's that time again. I coded something new today.
I call it the Doodlally Challenge and it's a site where we all compete against each other to copy one reference within one minute as good/interesting/skillful/smart/fun as possible.
So this is the site I created:
http://bitbof.com/stuff/challenge/

I created the whole thing in a day, so there might be some issues. If you encounter any, post here or pm me or email.
It's also possible to write comments over there, so we don't have to spam so much here.

Have fun! I'm pretty excited :) I'll run it for a week or something
My username is bitbof over there

Yeah it's not working like doodler in that respect. I could upload every try but it might flood the place.

This is great.
How often do you intend to change the reference photo?

its addicting. i'm wondering how many i've done that i didn't submit. you should change it daily! daily contest, a week is too long for a 1 minute drawing ;)

glad you like it :)

I think a week is good for a start. My thoughts were that you have some more competition that way and also more time to study the subject so you can work on perfecting your one minute performance.
A different idea was that I allow users to challenge others with a custom image. That way they can decide how long it runs. but for now I think it's nicer to have this tiny community focus on one reference photo.
Staci, I made another website a while back where the photo changes with every try. It's more *practice on your own* oriented: http://bitbof.com/doodler
...the photos are from flickr
