The appelets are too complex. I go to the directions and it doesn't make sense. Like how do I resize the parameters, I pressed one button and do not know how to restart so been stuck with it. I thought Id like computer art but these appelets are too complex and made for engineering minds. I need a website that will explain them directly and the basics. I am middle aged and technologically disadvantaged. Most of my drawings I was just guessing which buttons do what, that's crap, why can't we KNOW what they do? Someone did send me this link, I just couldnt make sense of it. I am not interested in the fancy whistles and bells but just the basics.

There's very little that you actually need to know to use an applet like lascaux. I mostly just resize the brush every now and then, change the opacity, and pick colors. Those 3 things will get me through most drawings I make.

I'm not sure about resizing a drawing after you've started, but if you've just started and find that your setting for width and height aren't what you wanted, just click DRAW! again to start over with a new size.

Also if you don't know what a tool does just hover the mouse over it and in the bottom left corner of the drawing window you'll see an explanation of it.

You dont have to submit right away, practice with the tools and you'll pick things up as you go along. And when you're comfortable you can start a drawing. I dont understand everything and I've been using the applets for a few years.
