Great anger face! Hey, I'm having the same thing happen with shi painter. Jekyll gave me some things to try when the canvas goes blank and I've worked out that if I hit the zoom in + and/or the zoom out - the image will reappear. Also, if I save it, it's there. But, yeah, it's really annoying. If you get those weird lines in your image it will usually fix them to hit undo/redo. Hope this helps.
