Just saw this on live tv. http://edition.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/04/30/netherlands.queen.car/index.html Not for the faint of heart, not for children!

What? The car was already wrecked before it hit anything. It looked like a crappy B movie car stunt.

He hit 15 people before he hit the monument. It appears that it was a direct hit on the family. 4 people died, I'm no expert, but besides the people he probably hit some objects as well.

I was watching it live, always watch the festivities live. It is usually a fun event, seeing the princes and princesses participate in old fashioned games.

When I saw it happen, I also thought it was a stunt.

OK, that makes more sense. I'm sorry you had to see that live.

Thanks, I'm more worried about the children there. It is an event very popular with the kids, can't imagine what they must feel seeing people getting hit by a car right before their own eyes. The people in the bus are members of the Royal family.

My previous post can make you believe the royals were hit, they are safe, it is the crowd who got hit.

I've been in de midst of riots once during Queensday in Amsterdam, so since then I avoid big crowds.

I wouldn't worry too much about the kids, kids are stupid.

Kids saw their parents fly through air, one can only hope that they are stupid enough to be able to get past this.

I used to see my mom and sister fly through the air when Bill would come home drunk and I got over it.

Kids are resilient..it's amazing what you can endure and still put up your front as being a normal human being..i'm well learned in that area..,.

Kids do bounce back quickly. Damn, 6 people died, plus the perpetrator, now we will never know why...
