Man, great painting. I really like the accent of bright blue you used on the eye and nose, though I was thinking the same thing about the red, actually. Haha. Maybe after the contest is through?

I believe this is my favorite though. For sure.

1st: A calming and empty silence comes to mind when I look at this piece. The muted blues and soft brush strokes flow into the abysmal substrate, like a slow, flowing string of smoke into the atmosphere. The expression on the face seems blissful but dead, as if this person just died but did so during a happy moment. Engaging subject, nice composition. WIN!
