Look (Feb 6, 2004)
It's coming out great! I'm still trying to figure out your style. I mean I can tell it's your work right away, but I can't point out what's making it so different from other drawings. Maybe the way you use greyish colors. Hum..
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 6, 2004)
It's probably recognizable because I do it here exactly as I would if I were working on a real canvas, maybe? I build up from a base and I blend alot, and then try not to "spit and rub" the brush strokes at the end, leave them visible. Maybe that's it...

Why haven't I commented on this.?
I love the buetiful coloring in this piece.
The wings are amazing, great job!

She looks better with a habitat. Nice background. *And she stomped her feet, pulled her hair and pinched her nose, but she STILL did not feel any better!*. (A quote from Bony Legs The Witch) This is like one of my fav pics now. My daughter thinks its funny, 2. :)

EverDream (Feb 5, 2004)
Reminds me alot of a chalk pastel painting. Exquisit work if that's the look you were shooting for. If not then I still like it none the less. ;) Keep it up!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 5, 2004)
Pastels are the other medium I use when I'm too lazy to get out my paints or when I travel. Thanks EverDream.

she thought life should be more glamorous. considering she was a princess and all that. but I guess that's just how things go in a world where hands are out of style.

the fact that she has no hands doesnt even bother me all that much. cute.
safescene (Feb 6, 2004)

Do you use a tablet? 'cause this is really well done. The lines and coloring are amazing. *thumbs up* I kind of wish that this site had a favorites use. This would definitely be added to it. ^^

Done!!! No more revise for this one. In case you are wondering what's changed. well.. nose smaller, slightly change on the eye, tried to add more texture to the skull (not successfull)... that's about it... ack, just realize the lighting on the hair isnt so good. oh well. :P
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 4, 2004)
Did a great job on this one. What kind of galactic shampoo does she use? I want my hair that shiny! :) Her hair is my fav thing, btw.
Look (Feb 4, 2004)
It's a he... well, for the shampoo, same brand as InuYasha uses (inuyasha: a character from an anime called inu Yasha). reason: quote from cartoon network: "a full head of hair and not a single split end? that's his true strength if you gotta ask me!" heh

shes wondering which piece got deleted and why it was ten points taken off when it was only a 5 point piece lol. i really wish when theres an unusual situation like that and double points are taken off the mod could take a sec to explain why. i understand u folks dont have all the timein the world but hey, if i earn 5 points, and its deleted and i lose 5 points, i understand, but i lost ten and id like to have known why.

Time for lesson on points!!!
Ok, first, you submit something as unfinished, you get NO points!! wooO!
Now, you set it to finished, and woo you get points!!! woo!!! 5 on beginner!!!
Ok now someone deletes it, not only do you lose the 5 points you got, but 5 more points to remind you to follow the rules. So that's losing 10 points, but only 5 more than you originally had.
But wait, what if it was deleted before it was set to finished? You never got 5 points in the first place, so you don't lose those 5, you just lose 5 points to remind you to follow the rules.
So, you depending how many points you got for submitting the picture will affect how many you lose. If it was unfinished, you never got any.
brushes4 (edited Feb 3, 2004)
well now...that sucks lol. i fully understand the system points now..thanks marcello, and my apologies to Merulotte, u were right i was wrong... i STILL think reasons should be given for deletions tho lol..i know i know i'll shut up about it now :O)
marcello (Feb 3, 2004)
In general the reason is "spend more time on your drawing" or "put more (obvious) effort into your drawing"
In this case I'd probably say something like "don't use the freaking texture tools they make a picture look crap"

Sotalean (Feb 2, 2004)
Yeah I know... it's kind of plain.. *shrugs* Maybe I'll revise him later. *ponders this*
Look (Feb 3, 2004)
I think it'd prefer him have some clothes on... just so it's not plain. but the same time, he looks hot this way. ;)
staci (Feb 3, 2004)
he'd be hotter if he had some nips. (or one) do shirtless anime have nips as a rule?
