There she goes...
I think it's surrealism, but I'm not sure.

Awesome-ness. I love this and the creek is cool. The face and ripped body rock.
I love the background, you have the most cool coloring style.
concannon (May 7, 2004)
The sun. The sun...thing, is what I love about this. Because of the clouds around it, it looks like it's either in a pit, or extending out on a stalk to get a better look at the character in the piece.

...er, yes. >> Great job.
davincipoppalag (May 7, 2004)
I would say it is! lol This is great. To me.. the spirit things headed off into that light look like the soul leaving the earth..but they appear as sperm ready to start a new life in a different place... this is very evocative.. nice.
LovelyLori (May 7, 2004)
how mesmerizing! love the colors!

It's an illustration for a short story that I'm writing in english. Just watch my teacher send me to the counselor as soon as he finishes reading it.

Well, stuff about the story: 1) it's for the school antology, my topic was the factory 2) They are unwanted slaves sold to a company that makes household products such as shoe and furniture polish (it doesn't actually say that in the story because it's from the p.o.v. of that girl on the left who has no idea what's happening) 3) The guy's eyes look like buttons because the factory sucks the souls of the slaves in small installments and uses the ectoplasmic essence to make said household products. 4) That is why I would be sent to the counselor. 5) I'll memo the story to you.
Ixbalam (May 3, 2004)
I see. The story is about students in school then.
mooseflower (May 3, 2004)

I love it when people try employing unusual perspectives, and this definitely falls under that category. Cool. What is she looking at, though?
MariaMinamino (May 1, 2004)
Wow - this is such awesome perspecive - and her expression rocks! You coloring is so awesome!
davincipoppalag (May 1, 2004)
I like this alot. I'm not sure what I am seeing though, is SHE the shoe goo on a the big gray shoe? Or is that stuff that looks like her sock stickin out of her shoe it?
mooseflower (edited May 1, 2004)
I guess it does need some explanation. It was just practice with perspective and a person looking into an icky puddle of green stuff, but my sister walked by and went (qoute) "eeewww... shoe goo? yucky." (unquote) hense the title and the description. The sock is there because that shoe's toe was annoying me. A lot. She's looking at and talking to someone who the viewer can't see.

I was in the middle of a drawing, and my computer decided to shut down. Have I told you recently that I hate it?

Woaw, really nice coloring again, really smooth. I love the lips and the natural skin color.
Oh yeah. Nice nose. x)
safescene (Apr 19, 2004)
really pretty, I like the shiny-ness of her skin and her cute little nose. Your stuff is great mooseflower; I'm definitely keeping an eye on you :) (heh, not in that creepy, stalker sort of way)

Knockoff (Apr 22, 2004)
Yeah, great shading. I like the sparkleis all over the place. I love the dudes ears, nice!
mooseflower (Apr 22, 2004)
The ears are my favorite part too :) The best thing about them is that if he's ever white water rafting and looses an oar, he has another one built in!

Is it moose piss? Remember when Little Nicky was supposed to do that?

I think you are dadgumned great at drawing.
mooseflower (Apr 21, 2004)
Heh heh... the story behind this is that one friday I stayed up extemely late, expecting to be able to sleep in in the morning. However, I forgot to turn off my alarm clock, which had been set for 5:30. When I woke up, I went downstairs and grunted what was supposed to be "gimme coffee" at my dad. Apparently, it came out "give me really gross concentrate orange juice", because that is what he gave me.
laurael (Apr 21, 2004)
This is drawn great! I like your style...
Uh...yeah...to answer your question of someone doing this to you...too young for coffee at the time, I guess...
davincipoppalag (Apr 22, 2004)
Lol...in college when I would get up late..often all there was to drink was stale warm beer with cigarette butts floatin in it.. oj sounds better
