National Geographic's Afghan Girl

It was a brilliant reproduction of a photo (NOT this one) of an Indian girl, probably from a magazine, according to her. Looking at it I had always hoped to make something half as brilliant. Here is a copy of the famous "Afghan girl" photo from National Geographic. It's probably my favorite photograph ever, and I'm sure many people feel the same way. I hope someday, also, to make a better version, or to reproduce another photo with greater skill than is shown here.

OH! I have that National Geographics series. Quite well depicted though at first glance I thought it looked like a sad Mother Teresa. Pretty pic. Very striking green eyes!

Ohh, I really like this. The sketchiness and the dark tones are nice. And you're so good at hands~ :0L is so wonderful :'D More people should draw him.

Is this a boy or a girl? The face looks beaut if it's a girl specially cos it has fine features. The hair loook awesome. The belt has a lovely effect and the little weeny purple creatures are so cute!MeLiSsA

This is for Davincipoppalaq who asked me to explain in as plain an english as possible how to do the trick involving angling and shaping all the brushes (including erasure) Since it's always easier to understand visuals then things written down (and I'm not sure if I explained it right) I did this. I hope it's self explanatory and makes sense now Dave. Sorry for the messy hand, I wasn't trying for picture perfect.

Okay Sweetcell But I think an old Advert use to play in the 60's on the tele.It would show a few drawings that grew out of the top of a tree and at the end A person would say where would we be without Art. the Science, and Technology of the World always refers to Art for a Model to use.
