Well, it was supposed to be part of the robot theme, but it turned out to look more like armor then anything lol Ah well. Just something weird while I wait for the vets to be done with my dog. And kids, this is what happens when you mix drugs. Never do it

JackSprat (Aug 3, 2004)
Lovely watercolor! The color choices work so well together!
shell (Mar 1, 2011)
what makes it a russian court? I mean I wouldn't have been abe to identify a court room if you hadn't pointed it out

i've started using my tablet. abit weird, but trying to get used to the applet. i'm so used to photoshop. it'll be cool if the applet could support pressure pens, though.

i think her head is abit off. i'll try to remedy that later. it's too hot today. better stop for a drink or two.

azarimy (Aug 7, 2004)

Gigge (Aug 7, 2004)
This looks beautiful so far. I like the brown pallette that you use. It looks very earthy and European.
sallymuddy (May 5, 2005)
i like the way you expressed the natural beauty face of that lady...it looks
so pure and virgin! you've shown that, the softness character of her...The color,
actually a bit dull for me, anyway i still love it...nice work dude!!

Courtney and her horse, Promise. Requested by a friend of Courtney's mother as a gift to her. (Happy 16th birthday, Courtney, and congratulations on your recent win - I hope Promise's injury gets well quickly. - He is a beautiful horse and I enjoyed painting him. :)

I can't be certain that I captured Courtney's likeness exactly - her eyes were shadowed by the hat and pretty blurry in the photograph I went by, so I did the best I could from what I could see. I hope her eyes are blue!!

very nice. horses are pretty hard to capture, but you did well. she must be a very talented rider to do dressage at such a young age
LEELEE (Aug 10, 2004)

sapphirefairy47 (Aug 18, 2004)

wow! very nice and a very difficult subject it looks like. Great job! looks like an origami frog to me
strangeoid (Aug 22, 2004)
*nods* Marcello's right, it's balancing on one side of it's belly. I'm having a bit of trouble with the table to make it look like that, though... : /
left_hander (Aug 22, 2004)
its great jossy wonderful!!!!!!!!1 you keep up the good work (lover)!
Gigge (Sep 5, 2004)
I like the title. I thought it was a beetle at first. I was looking at it backwards. Very cool how the frog looks so much more real than the rest of the image. I like that effect.

pic of an old man :) inspiration from roy mullins, and from an old man on a boat

I'm toying with the idea of a long white beard...good or bad?

I like the lighting. Looks as if he's sitting infront of a dying fire.
davincipoppalag (Aug 3, 2004)
I don't think I would add the beard. It would take away from the glow you made. Hey,, if you can draw THIS you can do "Elvis on Velvet"!
TriggerHappy (Aug 3, 2004)
Elvis on Velvet? what the heck is that? hehe
damnskippytakn-a-break (edited Aug 30, 2004)
WOW you really have the smoke down. I also love the facial glow. Very nice. Velvet paintings were very popular in the 50's and 60's and the most common are, Elvis and The Last Supper. This does resemble a velvet painting.

Inspired from a t-shirt I saw on a girl today. Figured I'd try it out. Pic reference was used :) I'm officially seeing dots now!

that was part of the reason I chose this photo though, was because it didn't really look like a typical orlando bloom picture. Looked more just like some guy, and that's what drew me to it.
two-na (Jul 28, 2004)
extreme youdraw flashback! :D
davincipoppalag (Jul 29, 2004)
Yea two, this would be right at home on YouDraw
damnskippytakn-a-break (Aug 30, 2004)

TriggerHappy (Jul 16, 2004)
I do live in alaska. And I feel sorry for you! Living here is bad enough, but living in Anchorage? poor davinci...
davincipoppalag (Jul 17, 2004)
We left a couple of months before the big earthquake in 1964. It was probably nicer there then than what it is for you...
damnskippytakn-a-break (Aug 30, 2004)
You are amazing. I wish I could draw animals. Mine look like a toddler got ahold of some pencils and started scrawling. I'm serious! But, I will keep trying and one day maybe I will be half as good at them as you!
