Well I thought I should start drawing girls with giant implants again so the best of you can have something to look at while you wait for the day to end.

I need someone that is really good with cell shading to do this in a hot pink monotone.

Pink, who doesn't love pink? You did such a fabulous job Trip, and such a bg.
And thanks for clearing up the nipple confusion, those are quite massive to house without containment though. :D

every once in a while when the light comes through the kitchen window and she just happens to have things out for cooking, I can't help but see the beauty, so this time I made minor adjustments to the arrangement and took a pic for a ref.

"It's amazing that you've lived for all of these years, Delter. What has it been? Twenty, twenty-two years? It's incredible what the mind can accomplish.
You're the people we live to hate. Your animus; that stubborn, strong force of will is the only thing that's keeping you alive. But what drives your will, Delter? Trying to find the person that took your soul away from you?"

"You took it from me."

"Me? You have it all wrong you sad, sad, waste of flesh. You killed yourself, you destroyed your own soul by giving up. The one and only time I would have gave a thousand lives to see happen, is when you died on the inside. That's when people like you become mine. But, alas. Lo and behold the God you pray to had to intervene. He kept that head of yours from losing all of that blood. He hid your wounds from the people that still believed you were alive. Moreover, he hid you from the people that already knew that you were dead.
I hate looking at you. The sight and aura that is you makes me sick. If all human beings could drive themselves up and away from their problems like you do, I'd never have any souls to eat and call mine. I'd be dead like you, Delter. It is will like yours that creates God in the first place. It's what drives these stupid bastards to keep breathing. What else can he do for you, when I've already destroyed what he's created?"

"I'll show you what I want."

"And if you fail, would you please tell them that I am God, hm?"

I understood everything but the last two lines but for some reason looking at the first draft of this made it clearer. Crazy :)
Oddly I kept thinking about this picture: http://cellosoft.com/2draw/view/53989/ the entire time I was reading this. Awesome draw as always TRIP.

These are scenes from an original series I wish to produce some time in the future. Storyline wise, nobody will get it until I release a full synopsis.

Stupid whiners. The dark version is better.
I've got the sun light pouring through my windows and I can see it fine.
dearest (Dec 29, 2006)
if i had seen the darker version first, i probably wouldn't have been able to decipher the image. now, looking at both, the darker image packs slightly more punch in the emotive department, but-- hell, they're both *smashing*. love the detail, the style, the masterful use of light and dark, all of it. usually i find text in artwork distracting and unnecessary, but the words you use really help clarify the theme. great stuff.

I think she might need some.

This is for solve. I'm not sure why you chose to ask me to do this, as I can think of several other artists here that would have been much better at this sort of thing, but I was very flattered that you did. I hope this is what you wanted and that you aren't disappointed. I had fun doing it.

Another wonderful fish picture... you're really good at this. The light filtering through the surface of the water is so well done, and you also did a great job of getting depth by making the fish that's the farthest away look like he's got more water between us and him... and you did it without blurring him up. Absolutely fantastic work.
Sweetcell (Nov 9, 2006)
What DBA said (better than I could)

And ya Deino, stupid people having fish swallowing contests (although the fish of choise are small goldfish. They wriggle down easier)

I didn't directly say I hated anything, and if I do, I'll make sure to draw a picture on this website so everyone can see that I hate it
dearest (edited Dec 29, 2006)
ahahah, this is great. colours are delicious. i feel the need to comfort your frustrated little man (no sexual innuendo intended).

my two cents: i don't feel there's anything inherently wrong with anime-- there's some incredibly skilled masters of the style out there, no doubt.
but there's a hell of a lot more anime that doesn't fit into that category, and the pervasivity (i made up that word, but it sounds good) of it is insane. it' impossible to avoid all the art and artists of the style-- many of whom are very young and therefore naturally more inclined to fanaticism-- creating sheer armies of anime eyesores. what ticks me off the most is that 95% of it looks the same. like a great big ball of siamese twins from a million different mother.
mmm. not the greatest similie.
needless to say, i can't say i'm much a fan.
ItzChronic (edited Jan 20, 2009)
Oh gawd. This drawing describes exactly how I feel every time I get on DA. I love good anime, and I love stylized cartoons; but goddamn, I also like to see some diversity. Especially since my artistic style is still very limited and it does good to expand. I see enough anime bullcrap in my notebook every day, and that's why I like getting online to see other stuff. o3o

Nothing wrong with anime... It's just.... A little annoying sometimes. Maybe a bit too popular, you know? (ahhheemmmmprobablytheeasieststyletolearnhackhackhack)
LN (Jan 22, 2009)
eh. "Anime style" is just stylized anatomy. American-Comic style uses stylized anatomy as well. There are good Anime artists, and goon American Comic artists. I don't see why we need to bash those artists who are still learning, wether they use anime or american comic style. Or maybe I'm just ranting because I'm a bad anime artist myself :\ dunno.
