I would say this is an interesting style of representational art but if you were going for realism, you're way off. Personally, I like representational art with emphasis on personal style more than straight realism.
QueenMelkorka (Sep 10, 2008)
shes prettier than the ref!
saintartaud (Sep 10, 2008)
Agreed on the remarks about realism and the proportions. I was mostly just playing around and am not totally comfortable working on a screen. I can't block things out the same way I would on paper.
davincipoppalag (Sep 11, 2008)
It's a good piece regardless. She sort of resembles Lindsay Lohan a bit

once i saw a guy fall in to a giant blender. and i saw this.
saintartaud (Sep 10, 2008)
I really like this. There's the suggestion of a face, or maybe a skull, but you've focused more on the color and feel of the marks.

Umm, I was going to try and do some sort of realism picture, but then I got really tired and lazy so I just did a sketchy pic. It really didn't take me two hours. You can move it to beginners if you'd like.

I think it's a good sketch Aaron.

I use it , I just didn't know that was the name =D
Miss_DJ (Sep 7, 2008)
I like this very much. Her expression is disturbing...the kind of disturbing that comes from living in an alcoholic household.
bette_davis_eyes (Sep 7, 2008)
you did a wonderful job on this!

It is a little darkish, but I think it is fitting with the what the image is about. but if it bothers you, you can play with the opacity of the layer(s).
Childlike_Vampire (Sep 17, 2008)
I think this is awesome. I really like the style of the chara, and the boldness of the colors is great.
shults (Sep 28, 2008)
Well finished. I love the bg coloring.
vlad.the.hamster (Sep 28, 2008)
This came out really nice, very bold.

Cancer can be cured, if you have enough money, believe me, my father had it. There are many methods with pretty good odds, and pretty good pricetags.
enjoydotcom (Sep 7, 2008)
I am very happy for you your dad was cured, but there are still some cancers that are not yet 'easy' cureable. Plus I think it depends in what stage they discover it. Even thinking you have it is no laughing matter tho, I had a mole removed two weeks ago they thought it could be skincancer. Luckily it was nothing, but the feeling in between removal and result is not a funny one.
lori (edited Sep 7, 2008)
well while we're all on the subject: my sister currently has cancer - diseases make me so angry and sad and impatient and just plain stressed - I wish to God they would find a cure for many things or that I could be smart enough to do so
YoureToast (edited Sep 7, 2008)
Dude, there is a cure for AIDS and Cancer.
We will never hear any one actually admit though.
It's about the dollars baby.

i know over three people who have had/have cancer.

Aawww so cute!
Aakyra (Sep 4, 2008)
I love animals... have 4 dogs and 2 cats. 3 are rescues and we have had the other 3 since birth. This card would definitely be something I would choose. It is lovely, warm and sweet. Great job!
Wizzard (Sep 4, 2008)
Thanks for the nice comments.

Say what you like about her, she made an awesome school teacher.

Speedpainting without Jtablet is very hard, and this ended up being not so speedy in the end. My apologies if it's too rough for intermediate.
Remind me to use more than one layer next time. Doing a background around a person is not a fun thing to do.

Nice! awsome yoko drawing (its from an anime called tegen toppa gurren lagaan for the people wondering)
The_Chosen (Jan 20, 2009)
YOKO! That' an interesting style you used but it looks like she had a breast reduction or something. I really like the shading & the way you did her gun.
kejoco (Mar 27, 2009)
very cool, makes me think of cheesy (yet awesome) b movies
Bubblicious (Mar 27, 2009)
Cool nicely done :D Never seen her before, but I like the draw :3

Roy do you paint on canvas too?
HiroDaZero (Sep 7, 2008)
were the pink at the top words?
Roytje (edited Sep 7, 2008)
Yes, I try to paint on real canvas, Anna :) I have to do it more often, though.
No, just dots and stripes, Hiro.
