I have the same problem, and I'm not sure what it could be coz the size is relatively small. I've found that stopping any other programs that are running in the background helps. Especially any music or documents. Otherwise, just wait for it to come up, it does eventually. ^_^ |

This is a dwarf crocodile on the hunt. Here's the ref. And even though this isn't exactly like the ref pic, I like it better that way.. I mean, what's art if you just copy an image? Art should be an interpretation of your subject. I'm all for artistic liberties.

Great job! and GREAT study to do! I love these animals, and their eyes are what make them so freakin adorable. Their babies even have those huge eyes and small snouts. This is a way cool idea for scales *makes mental note* Great job and welcome to 2draw~from a little mouse :D

hahaha just buy the nonfilters :P I worked in a smoke shop for a few months once...the older people that came in and bought unfiltered cigs I just wanted to rip it out of their hands and hand them the filtered. They looked like walking zombies *shivers*

thanks. :D Happy New Year to you too!! :D (getting tipsy here by myself.) I liked her hair too. :P Mine is about that long but not curly. I'd love for it to be curly but I'd probobly be cursing it when I went to brush it if it were. LOL ;)

The texture of that dress is really cool. Looks like one of the ones that is supposed to be really really creased. Nice skin tones too. :)

The way you've used your colour palette in this drawing is excellent, especially in your shadows. Beautiful! The girl; her face, neck, arms and parts of the hand are shaded to give the impression of dimension. That gets lost as the eye moves to the dress...the picture takes on a flat look where the fabric of the dress meets the background. I think a more detailed edge and shading/highlighting on the fabric would integrate it into the dimensional feeling you've gotten at the top of the picture. The hand needs to 'sink into' the fabric of the dress a little so that it looks connected to the body. You've put a lot of work into this and it shows. A little bit more and it will dance right into 'Wow!'. Patience, without reason, is a stupid waste of time. Patience applied with intelligent forethought can mean the difference between mediocrity and excellence. Sometimes. Sweeping generalizations are overrated. |
