I have to work on the background and give him a name, unless any of you would like to name him then go ahead. =)-Duke K. |

Hey hey, my birthday's on his forehead! xDDNo I'm kidding, I know what it means. It's just that 4/20 happens to be the day I was born. ;) Other than that, all I can say is that I LOVE this. It's oozing with awesomeness. :D
dorothyblueeyes (Oct 30, 2012)

for speedhack '05 with Cello.black and 5 unique shades of green. loose reference
xiau (Aug 15, 2005)
Wow-ee-be... That's amazing. You added so much, it looks just like a screencap from an old videogame. Great pic! You're pixel art skills are amazing Zack.
Kloxboy (Aug 15, 2005)
Nice pixel work, I like it.Firestarter was a neat game. The bright green was a bit intense and I had trouble seeing where I was going but it was cool, it reminded me of playing GameBoy.

frenchtoast
(Aug 15, 2005)
Decided to vent my frustration in a healthy way: through my art. Ugh, I hate societies standards on things these days and what horrible ingredients are in most foods... Anyways, not sure if this is intermediate level or not, but enjoy anyways? :D
fleeting_memory (Aug 15, 2005)
looks fine to me. I like the whole effect of being chained to gossip and the 'social' way of life. Cool glassy looking effect.
HunterKiller_ (Aug 15, 2005)
The blue and glass things go together well. Me likes.
Namori (Aug 15, 2005)
I like the drop because I can never color drops well...T__T
Xodiak (Aug 15, 2005)
Xod likes how you made everything look so glassy and pretty. Great drawing! >:D|XOD| |

HI This is my first picture. my HomePage : http://www.angelfire.com/gundam/pythoness/index.htm
Namori (Aug 15, 2005)
Yay! I love Gundam Seed!! I love the background, so colorful!
hideyourface (Aug 15, 2005)
I think if you'rre going to colour with the airbrush, you need to focus on details. Also, I dont know about the colour of the lines.. and they're still pretty sketchy.
fleeting_memory (Aug 15, 2005)
very nice for a first picture, but you've got lots of room left-dont be afraid to tidy it up a bit :)
fin (edited Aug 15, 2005)
Thank you for the comments. I will try to draw better next time.^_^ |

Dull background because I couldn't think of anything...
davincipoppalag (Aug 12, 2005)
I think the background looks ok with the figure. This is a very pretty drawing..
fleeting_memory (Aug 12, 2005)
aw her eyes are so pretty, so is her hair
lycene (Aug 12, 2005)
This is very pretty; I love her hair. I think that the jaggy-ness of the lineart kind of takes away from the whole delicate feeling of the picture--if you used the antialias tool, it could help a lot.
Namori (Aug 14, 2005)
hehe...I need to figure out how to use it first..XDDD |

Wee! Finally had the right inspiration for a Wolf's Rain fanpic I've been itching to do lately. I've forgotten how tedious lineart is. :P It'll all be worth it though once it's finished. :D
SPfan-96 (Feb 14, 2009)
i love it ^^

just trying out new things...This pic is for you Shoebox! Thank you for all the advice you gave me! XDDD as always, i realize my mistakes after submitting it...the background is too gloomy -__-
darkshadow (Aug 11, 2005)
wow great pic the line art is wonderful
Namori (Aug 11, 2005)
!@#$% If i had known about the Tolerance tool, it would take 1hr less! Selection tool, 2hrs less!T__T Why did I not think of reading the instructions for using Lascaux! *stupid stupid stupid!*
Shoebox (Aug 11, 2005)
Bah, instructions are for people without hours and hours of free time on their hands.. I draw to alleviate boredom, and it's easier to do that if I can't figure out the darned thing ;)
Namori (Aug 11, 2005)
Ahaha! But if you just read the instructions once, you won't need to spend hours and hours trying to get the affect you want on all your drawings! Which is why I actually spent 5hrs on this when I could have spent only 2hrs. T__T |

(Aug 11, 2005)
I'm kind of confused with the Lascaux layers; I created the background on the second layer, but when the first and second layers combined, the background covered this drawing. Hopefully I'll be able to figure out how to use it...
Shoebox (Aug 11, 2005)
It can be tempermental (I ahven't the patience for it, unels when I do pixel art)I like this so far, once you figure our Lascaux I'm sure you'll be absolutely terrific ^^ Such soulful eyes *nods* and pretty mouth... not to mention 'FWOOSH'y hair.. hehehe T__T I just realized that i forgot to color in the space between the left side(your view) of her neck and her hair. I also missed the spot at the bottom left, so there's a blue spot on her shirt.
Shoebox (Aug 11, 2005)
Ouch, yeah, that back of the hair thing can get ya.. I learned early, when I did Dolls... One thing I could suggest is when you make your lineart, make sure you use a layer beneath it for the background, and I can't remember if the fill tool works properly behind lined layers, but you usually want to use a large brush.. hopefully that should cut down on the white parts in between the lineart strokes.. which should probably be cleaned just a little, in the future ^^ I like solid lineart, but it's a bit scratchy. I like the way you do hair... Better luck next time ^^
Namori (Aug 11, 2005)
Thanks for the advice! I think I'll be able to draw another one without all those extra sketchy lines and without those white parts. :D |
