I shall call it... the Macack!This carnivorous creature navigates by gliding with large, expandable membrane protuding from it's sides. It's body sturcture is slim and light allowing it to glide at high speeds for significant distances on a strong current of wind. It's large pair of primary eyes has excellent vision, the second pair of anntena are highly sensitive organs used to judge wind speeds, altitude and scent. The Macack feeds exclusively on small ground dewlling animals, which it can swallow whole with it's large, vertically aligned mouth.

the blurred background gives the impression of this thing moving very quickly. I know that the white path or maybe river is there to frame it, but I'm not sure that is the best way to compose the picture. Still, nice, creative idea. |

With the whole "Harp of Silence" idea, wouldn't it be a little more to the meaning if it didn't have strings? Or if the strings were all snapped or made of bone or something like that. Very nice work, anyways.

Having no strings would be a clever idea but according to the the thesaurus, 'silence' is under the word 'death', therefore, this is a harp that brings death when played. Basically, itself is not silent, but it renders any souls silent who were unfortuante enough to hear it.

bah... i wanted to color itI'm so sorry that it's taking me so long, I have to do alot of things before school. But I did manage do do the base colors and most of the scales on the serpent. I really hope the colors are ok. It was the only colors I thought would really fit it. I have to finish the scales and do the BG. I will more than likely finish today or tomorrow. Hope u like it! ^^

I'm quite happy with this so i slapped it in intermediate.All that portrait drawing sure paid off, i didn't find very it hard and thoroughly enjoyed drawing this. Just noticed the eyes are a tad too close together and a bit big.

1. Take two colours, whatever. I have red and orange here.2. Take one of the two colours and lower the opacity right down to 15. 3. Draw using this colour go over the other colour. Select that colour, then undo the scribble. 4. Using this new colour, draw over the joining point of the two colours. 5. Once again, using low opacity, draw over the other colour, but it gets tricky here, you must do this twice. First time you go over the yellow and draw the line down the yellow side of the joining line, then draw over the red, and take that colour to go over the joining line on the red side. Hope that makes sense. x.x 6. Repeat this until you're satisfied with the smoothness. 7. Take blur tool and go over, again, until you're satisfied. There you go christiangirl, and any one else interested. Just a cheap quicky, i'm sure you can all do better.
