Youkai... I've heard that somewhere before... Well, at least I have a clue as to what it could ever be.It's small, but detailed. The background's simplicity doesn't attract away from the subject, so... (Eck. I've said that three times in a week or so...) It's nice, of course. The biting is a bit of something to be wary of, I'd say...

The only thing shipainter has going for it is the pen tool, otherwise, lascaux totally owns it. (textures are overrated, but will be in lascaux, eventually)......

Great job, Hakkai. I love the effect that those eyes give the viewer. It's like, "Look at me!" O_O! ANYways. *Grins* On eyes, you could try lightening it up a bit near the bottom (So they stand out more. I dunno', artist technique :P). Overall, this picture is too gorgeous--TOO GORGOEUS! RAWR! Oh, and the smoke is awesome. >=D |

Would this happen to be the picture that the lineart was merged with the sketch, you deleted and Marcello saved for you?You were right. The lineart really IS silky-smooth... It's good thing this was saved. Good lines, talent, etc... They shouldn't go to waste. ^_^ The eyes are great, as they always are... |

the body's shading needs much more contrast. And generally you'll have better luck if the outline is slightly darker than the fill. |
