kimono practice

practicing drawing a kimono. yooko-chan and hana-chan gave me inspiration ^_^
happy birthday to me (though it was yesterday..)!!!!! this is my present to myself ^_^
i got complete artist block on what to do on the fan.....so i just made a red circle ~_~; it's my first time not using solids...and i'm surprised how well it turned out. i expected it to turn out half as good. the lineart is still pixely though because i make messy lineart with the pen tool. oh, and the time is waaaay off

i'm very proud of how this came out! i wanted to look like it was painted (minus the lineart), and i think i accomplished that. but i'm really happy with it ^_^!!!

i got my tablet for about $150 canadian, but it was the small one. the 6x8 one that i wanted was $210

i'm sorry to the mod who had to move this to unfinished hidden. i thought i had set it to that in the first place, but i must have made a mistake ~_~; . it's a fairy crouching down on a white mist. i was trying to do something abstract, and i'm not sure if i accomplished that.

original character, and i have yet to think of a name for him.
i couldn't think of an idea for a shirt, so no shirt for now! i think his hair is my favourite part. oh, and the time is off by about an hour....
it's soooo hard to draw guys when your used to drawing girls, they turn out so femmie >_<*

completely changed the colouring on him. i liked how loogie coloured the guy's hair in our collab, so i changed hime to blonde. i'm to lazy to take the time to cell-shade him again right now, so it looks kinda sketchy, i'll finish him when i have the time.

yeah, for some reason the lines on the side of her face wouldn't come out smooth. i dunno if it was my tablet or the applet that was acting weird... it did it in some other areas too, like on her arm..>_<

a sequel to my "kitty girl" drawing, but right now i can't think of what to put in the box... . i luv the sweater the most! and i finally drew a facial expression! ^_^, expect some more of these drawings, i'm thinking a "cow" girl next, and then perhaps a fox girl...any others?

yeah, i'm really surprised with how well it came out. i wasn't even planning to have her pose like this. it's one of those drawings where your in the *zone* while drawing it, and then after your done, you look at it and go "did i really do that?"
