Points on 2draw.net are a way of signifying what kind of user you are. By using 2draw.net normally you will gain points for various reasons, and by abusing 2draw.net, you will lose them significantly faster.

Gaining Points

Everyone starts with 5 points when they register on the site. If you follow the rules and play fair, this will quickly go up.

There are essentially three main ways to gain points on 2draw.net. The number of points is more or less relative to the amount of effort put into an image.
1. Post Images
2. Post Comments on Images and Forums
3. Submit Articles
Posting comments and forumswill give you relatively few points (generally just 1), while posting images will give you a range from 5 and up, depending where you post.

When submitting images, you won't gain points until the image is set to Finished, so remember to finish your drawings!

Submitting articles will can give you hundreds of points at a time, depending on the quality and length of the content. However, this is the most difficult way to gain points, as there are several steps to the process.

Losing Points

Just as you can gain points for using the site, you lose points for abusing it.

If you delete any of your posts, you will lose any points you gained for submitting that piece. So if you post an image, gain 5 points, and delete it, you will lose the 5 points.

If a moderator decides you are violating one or more rules, and deletes something you posted, you will lose double the points you gained in the first place. This counts for images, forum posts, and comments.

If the moderator decides to edit your posts for violating a less major rule, you will lose half the points you gained for the image. Everytime a moderator has to edit your post, you will lose half the points you originally gained, so keep that in mind.

So, if you think you're violating a rule, and you delete or edit your post before a moderator does, you won't be penalized!

Additionally, a moderator can choose to be merciful and not penalize you when editing or deleting. In this case it's no different than if you edited or deleted the submission yourself.

In The Red

If your points drop below zero, this means you're probably not following the rules. If you continue to stay in the red, your account will be blocked, and the only way to get it restored is to beg for mercy. This generally does not work.

So, if you are losing points frequently, you may want to rethink your strategy and follow the rules better.

In the case that the entire world is against you, go outside, and sit under a tree. If you live in a dense city, and have no access to trees, take a long walk until you find one.

Keeping Track of Points

Your first stop for keeping track of your points is in your Studio@2draw. Here you will find a running total of your points, and history of the last 5 changes to your points.

If the moderator wrote a comment or reasoning behind their action, it will be displayed in the history.
