I think it's a great entry , especially wrong handed with a mouse!
lori (Jun 25, 2007)
I draw with the wrong hand and a mouse too, and I think this came out really good

the top of the right eye seems a little bit blurry but I really like this. Nice piece.

Well, not that great but I tried. I'm soooo not used to drawing fast. But I certainly learned form, composition, and especially lighting and shading. It's a personal pic so I'll put it up on flik'r and link it.

30 min???!?!??!!!???!?!?!!!!??!?!?!???!!!!???

Wow! It takes me about 30 min to draw a circle! Mostly because I have too much conflict in my brain. And I have read the book, "Drawing on the Right side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards, but too much of my left hemisphere is taking over. That is why I am trying so hard to get back into art. I want to be like Luis Royo someday.

Great drawing Sweetcell. for 30 min, this is a masterpiece!

Contest Week 55: 30 Minute Painting
Kloxboy (edited Jul 9, 2007)
Contest Week 55: 30 Minute Painting *Two week contest. Your goal these next two weeks is to draw one of the following subjects in 30 minutes: a gorilla, a chimpanzee or a human. You must use a photo reference for this contest and you must include your reference via an internet link. I understand it might be difficult to time your drawing at exactly 30 minutes, so as long as you're within 30 minutes, give or take 3 minutes, your entry will qualify. Do not submit an entry that you...

Nothing works the way it used to! Muscles upside down and flabby. Short bursts of adrenaline followed by loss of control. And to top it off he's still green.....

Kokubu Karin was just your average junior high school student, that is, until she turns into superheroine Super Pig! [or Buurin] Years later, however, instead of fighting crime, she fights for another day to live. [Though, I don't think old pig tastes very good, does it?]

"It seem you've mistaken me for someone who cares
I'm just a dirt bag under the weather
and overrated."

What would it take for the Tick to retire? Total failure? The destruction of his beloved city, having grown too old and worn to stop the madness? Losing his beloved chum?

Only answer I have for you is that he's got a giant spoon for a cane.

For the contest.

Heroic, Fearless, determined. I think batman is a great hero, but at the same time a bit insane. Past the costume, putting his life on the line, etc. Just how he has focused his whole life from a tragic event. Its a fixation like no other, and he goes to such extreme means to fulfill it. So I imagine that in his late years he would become quite depressed. Feelings of impotence, uselessness, hopelessness, and anger. This is something I have thought about for, sucks to draw a hero defeated.

Then again maybe he would reflect back on his life and be happy about all he accomplished. I doubt that to be the case though.

Contest Week 54: Retired Superhero's
Sweetcell (edited Jun 24, 2007)
Contest Week 54: Retired Superhero's *Two Week Contest. Decided to lighten things up so your goal these next two weeks is to draw what you think would happen to Superhero's after they've reached a certain age and retired. What happened to Superman? Is Batman taking rides in his Batmobile for the hell of it? What's up with Spiderman? Make it serious or fun or as wacky as you'd like. It doesn't have to just be Hero's from Western comics. Any Anime character as well, provided you have a l...
