I'm fairly certain many of you have heard about the new FFVII movie, "Advent Children", that has recently been scheduled for Japanese release. Because I'm a good little Square bit--*cough* fan, I'm all a-bounce with the news, though still somewhat cautious in my optimism due to the unprecedented waste of time and resources that FFVIII and "The Spirits Within" were. To celebrate the news that at long last the best New Skool Square title to date is being released in a format that most of the PSX/PS2 era FF titles should have been--cinematic rather than game--I've drawn a little Sephiroth doodle. Mostly for my own amusement, because he always was my favorite character in the whole game. That magnificent bastard. XD

I played around a little bit with the dodge and burn brushes in his hair. Those things are neat--when next I draw, I'll have to see what else I can do with them.

Renmazuo, that scene actually inspired me to take up CG animation as a study and future career. Half of me was sitting there thinking, "Well, FACK, there went my most useful character", and the other half sat there thinking, "This is awesome and moving and powerful and I so want to be a part of something like this." And my Grandpa always told me to do something with my art, so...game animation it is. One day, I too will be a Squaresoft lackey!

*Spazzes* There's gonna be a MOVIE?! This I have not heard! I thought The Spirits Within sux0r-ed..hope this one will be better...nice Sephikins doodle. Know what I think? I think they should re-release FF7, exactly as it was, only with updated graphics. *Nod nod* I'm smart.
