to get clean lines, lower the flow of ink to like around 30 to get a pencil like quality for ur base sketch... i even went so far as to keep the flow like that when using the eraser to better clean the lines i didn't want, yet preserve what i put down... erase about half as much as u put down... oh yeah, and abuse the layers.
