after I pick the canvas size and click on 'draw' the applet doesn't show up and the page disappears. i tried drawing using Firefox and Explorer, it keeps doing the same thing on both of them.

Which applet are you using? Lascaux or one of the others?

i've tried using Lascaux, Shi-painter and Paint bbs and it all does the same thing.

Maybe you have a popup blocker active?! I don't know, how it could otherwise be so naughty.

do you have java installed?

yes, java's installed.

does the java icon pop up on your status bar when you go to the page? can you open the java console and see if there are any errors?

if you mean the 'choose applet' page i didn't see the java icon. i tried opening java console, it did the same thing as the 'choose applet' page does, nothing opens and everything disappears like it's been closed.

you mean firefox/internet explorer crash/exit when you go to a page with an applet on it?

sounds like java (or possibly jtablet) is crashing. I would recommend a few things: uninstall java and jtablet, then just install java and see if that works. if that does work, try reinstalling jtablet.

it worked. i removed java and then installed it again, now the applet shows up for me and i can draw.
