If you go to the very Eastern Cape of the North Island of New Zealand, you'll find this lighthouse on the top of a hill. We woke up at about 4am, drove here from the campsite and dragged ourselves up the hundreds of steps to grab this view of the first sunrise of the world on the 17th December 2006. It was worth it.
