this has probably been done, but i've noticed i draw best wehn listening to certain songs. Music is already a great fuel for emotions and inspiraiton for me, but i never really though it had an outcome on what i was doing?

So how about the rest of you?
have a certian thing you do while drawing that makes you get really into it?

yea, music. there are some songs that really make me into drawing specific things. one time i had to set one song into 'repeat' to be able to finish a drawing...

Ah good topic to babble about. ^^
That is the funny thing about music. It can give you a feeling of being able to create something really awesome. It puts you into an emotional state of celebration where you keep trying and don't mind mistakes immediately. So it's easier to experiment while listening to good music.
But oh be careful to select a nice list of songs, because when not satisfying music is playing you have to be already in a state where you have success with your painting. If you are still trying to discover something good about your painting it gets frustrating and you are waking up. If you are in a relatively stable emotional(inspirational) state anyways music doesn't influence you that much at all.
I am not the most stable person emotional-wise, so music can easily influence me. This is sometimes good and in other cases bad.

Another inspirational thing is success. So to say the satisfaction of having created something which meets or exceeds your own expectations. This is because such an experience gives you self-affirmation which boosts you to try new things.

Something really important are also your friends and family. We humans are social so that affirmation from other people(especially the close ones) can have a huge impact on us. For example parents who support you with the things you (want to!) do can be something great..

All in all I can say that inspiration has a lot to do with self confidence.
This is also why people tend to use drugs for inspirations because then you stop to ask question and feel more confident.
But drugs are bad ... M'kay?

Yeah music deffinately inspires me to draw. When I listen to Nine Inch Nails, I like to draw anime for some reason. Right now, I am listening to "Adema-So Fortunate" mostly because it puts my mind in a freestyle mode.

My inspiration comes alot Shiny Tuy Guns and other bands along with them...:D
Some other inspiration comes along by how I fell some times like my fealings, other from my imagination of wonders of my brain, and the rest well comes from wacky dreams I have but still a good resource of inspiration for me......:D

What I feel like at the moment. If I wanna draw, I draw, even if I'm not inspired or I want to do a quickie :) I can always do my Gir, or clip art, or there's the idea box. Anything and everything or really nothing. Just the moment.

What inspires me? Chocolate and women, especially naked women....and of course, they go great together as well. They are 2 big players in the short list of things that keep me going, without them, life would really suck.

All sorts of things inspire my art. Music, other artists, my emotional state, legs, jello, trees, mutants, and the list goes on.

Who needs Inspiration???

the moments just before I fall off to sleep inspire me most, I envision the most amazing art pieces.. I don't know where the ideas come from, and I haven't tried much to pull them off here at 2draw, but they are amazing images

many things inspire. Ah, but to act on those impulses. half the time I'm either too drunk or it's too late (early) for me to do anything.
Music, alcohol, women, food, all the above and then *** blank**** nothing. If I could draw or paint what I really see, I would probably be arrested. So Going slightly mad will have to do for now. :}

hmm well i'm inspired to draw when i see a great work of art.. anythin from 2draw.net 2 sumthin on tv... well whenever i'm on my comp, i listen 2 music.. 2 quiet without it so it's sort of an inspiration.. more for energy than inspiration tho :D

Mostly my inspiration comes when i am asleep. And no matter what time it is, when it happens I have to get up and draw whatever is on my brain or I don't sleep for the rest of the night.
