It's the same idea , then...I wish I knew the photographer's name..or could remember anything to google to see if I could find the photo I was talking about..it's very dramatic actually... I found it.. lol http://history.sandiego.edu/cdr2/WW2Pics/13953.jpg
That photo does look similar, Dave, here is the photo I am doing: http://www.flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=549784047&size=l
Sweetcell, I use the pencil tool set at 1 or 2 if that's what you mean. Isn't it the Oekaki shi-painter that has the pen tool?
Thanks for the comments as well Miss DJ and mooki.
I was going to say that it looks like this guy has short legs. Then I seen the real pic, and that one also looks like he has short legs.
But that does not matter. What matters is, this is a very nice drawing. Love the shadows. Poor guy :(
It looks pretty damn cool...
it does look a little stunted though, if you look at the pic, his knee lines up with the end of the gun and his foot lines up with the top of his head
great job though
This thumbnail caught my eye immediately, and I wasn't the least bit disappointed when I got here. Wonderful depiction of a very moving, meaningful moment in time.
His legs do look a bit stunted, but the shading and detailing makes you not really see it unless it was pointed out to you. His hands are nicely done (you got the digit wrinkles in there) and he looks like he's been shot by his well rendered expression. You get better and better, and your really good at doing scratchy pen work.
Oh, and to answer your question Oekaki Shi has different types of medium tools (pencil, watercolor, airbrush and pen) Lascaux has really only two, but they can be used the same way.
