i love the portrait you did here, its exactly kevin costner, i wonder if the movie is out yet? anyway, the shine in the glass is real nicely done, you have such a gift for realism and observation, and patience! some of your artwork is amazing and inspiring. You are a very fine artist and a strong add to this website, i thank you very much for sharing all your stuff with us, lol. Also , i love the brown tones used for that, not many artist would dare to go in these territories of dark browns and reddish browns . I also like the textures you did in the skin. The final product, i am sure of it (based on your other work) will be so good! cant wait to see it!
Thank you so much, Sketcher, I think that's probably one of the nicest comments I ever received here. Not sure I was planning on taking this one to the "nth" like I do some things, I'm just kind of having fun with it.
I know I'm in the minority but I think Kevin Costner's work is great, I think he's highly underrated. I hope this movie does well, it's an interesting role for him to take on.
Honestly, the movie was only "mildly entertaining" in itself...I found myself being *amused* more than anything...I only thoroughly enjoyed it because of his acting ability... he made it, otherwise it might not have held my attention.
Welllll...... let's just say that I only went outside to smoke once... and I didn't stay there long. I'm not easily entertained...The plot was predictable, which I HATE... but it's a "worth seeing" movie if you like the idea, and you like Kevin Costner. It was just this thing with him and William Hurt (his alter ego) where they got their rocks off on killing, and they were funny. I guess the best way to explain my "take" on it, is that I viewed it in a satirical manner, although I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended to be a satire kind of story. Kevin Costner's portrayal of the character was brilliant, any way you look at it. Okay, so I'm the "demented" one. I smiled through most of it, I left happy.
edit: I also have to give Demi Moore a bit of credit, she's come a long way from the days of G.I. Jane... (which I rolled my eyes at most of)...she managed to portray an intelligent, strong woman in law enforcement wielding a firearm effectively without coming across as a *badass*. Yay Demi. :)
When I do something like this in a very dark range, I now wonder what changes in how it is viewed are caused by the different screen resolution settings people have set. I know sometimes here people mention hazy or lighter spots that they can see that aren't visible to me. Most of the time when I view my art from someone else's computer, the resolution seems to be the same as mine.
I'll pipe in with how well you did this, especially the glasses, but what movie is this from?
I liked him post Dances with Wolves and (I try but can't pull off an English accent) Robin Hood. Or is that pre? Well before all those ego enduced movies, when he did a simple little picture that's a fave of mine, Field of Dreams. He as quite sexy then.
I said a little about that in the comment I made above revision 5... Mr. Brooks is a handsome family man with a beautiful wife and daughter, and a successful business. He is also a serial killer... he's extremely intelligent and he's very good at it. William Hurt is the little devil on his shoulder throughout the movie (the alter ego). He typically likes to kill couples while they're knockin' boots, and then he poses and photographs the vicitims. Demi Moore is the detective that's trying to catch him... there's more to it, but if I tell you the other stuff, it would ruin the movie if you wanted to see it. I liked it, and as I said, I don't entertain that easily. I found it highly amusing.
lol Mr. Kennedy. (that's such a Presidential sounding name)
I did notice that, but I can't respond to it, because I don't know if he's sexy or not. I haven't ever had a very intimate conversation with him, (and getting into his head would be the deciding factor, really) I have spoken to him briefly, periodically, I consider him a casual friend, I find him very likeable, but I don't know him extremely well. I have never heard his voice, and I have never been standing very close to him. I don't know what he looks like, either, but I don't add that into the equation since it really doesn't matter much what he looks like. What he smells like is extremely important, but obviously I don't know that, either. Fact is, I just don't know. :D (Sorry for talking about you like you're not here, Joe... right now you're NOT. :D)
(thanks for that comment, Kenn... finally... somebody gets it.) :D
