It's rough but pretty good. Could you please do something other than another goddamn face? The drawings are all very well done, but the content is getting real monotonous. I'd even be satisfied if you just added hands that were doing something. Like flipping me off for sounding like a dick. So long as something's going on in the picture other than a person looking in a particular direction. Maybe finish that tutorial you started.
I'm going to draw whatever I want on 2Draw, Alex. Whether it's faces, legs, cows or jello molds, whatever I feel like drawing, I'm going to draw. If I feel like drawing 1,000 faces in a row, I'm going to do it and if you don't like it, tough shit. If you want to see new tricks, get a dog and teach him some. Needless to say, I'm sick of comments asking me to draw this or that, or to draw something besides faces. Of course, if you really want me to draw something for you, I can do it for a price. That's not to say I always get paid for making art, I do a lot of work for myself, friends, family and charity. In your case, you'd have to pay me to draw for you, especially with a comment like that.
Alex: Was your comment harsh? No but it wasn't exactly polite either. If you were the first to leave a comment like that on my work, I probably wouldn't have even responded but you're not. As well, you didn't exactly phrase your comment in the most constructive, kind manner, it's no biggie but it didn't exactly help your message get through. I use 2Draw to relax, to just "let it out". I've always enjoyed drawing faces and it's easy for me to express my feelings with faces. Drawing faces has been a great therapy for me. When I draw something other than a face, I usually have a specific image in mind beforehand and it becomes more of a skill/design achievement than just a stress reliever.
For instance, the face above lacks expression facially but the style of the strokes and saturated color says something about my mood. The style is "rough" as you put it because I was frustrated and wanted to paint something with opaque colors, something blunt and to the point. When I was finished, guess what? I felt less frustrated because I took that frustration and put it in my drawing. Do you see what I mean?
ya know Alex, if I wasn't so tired right now I would lay into you in the biggest way.. What is it with you and telling people what they need to draw? He can't handle a dog either Juno, remember he kicks them in the face?
I think you guys are over reacting. His comment wasn't that abrasive. He said please, he said clox's drawings are good and he even poked fun at himself for "sounding like a dick".
it's all good, and as for this drawing.. I really like the difference in colors between the subject and the background, it really pops out at you, well done Juno
I gave Alex my perspective, his comments merited an explanation. I would hope there is no need to beat a dead horse but it would seem this subject comes up over and over. I'm getting better at explaining why I draw faces so much because I've explained it so many times. I may just cut and paste my comments from this drawing the next time someone questions me like this. :)
