I have seen PaintBBS or OekakiBBS pictures that have a border surrounding the character(s) to separate make them stand out from the background. May I know how is that done?
The borders often look very neat so I'm wondering if there's a special way of doing it besides going over the character from a bottom layer. Thanks ^_^ |

Oh now I see.............>:D
Well my friend theres no trick on making that kind of border around your characters........:D Yes is by making it around them in a lower layer from them but the trick of it is that you have to be really passient wille working on it, is a way to say that theres no magic or special trick on it, just to keep on practicing alot to at the end you'll get the result you want, I do some times get fustrated when I'm trying to make border outline on some of my pictures, but that doesn't stop me from trying to make them as mani times to get the right ones......:D In my borders I always use the pen tool and the soft eraser for any mistakes I make wille making the outlines......XD Like in THIS ONE.........>:D It may not be as perfect and high quality as your example but is quite good in my opinion......>:D But when working on a pixelised picture well I just use the pencil tool and the rough eraser......XD Well hope this helps in some way my friend.......:D If any other thing you want help just ask I'm always open to help.....>:D .................Logging of Lore.V............... |

Well there's an easier way, there are the special tools, line, bezier, circle, square, etc. The square and round have full fill (a solid circle or square) and an outline circle, square. Just use the outline circle or square when your done with your picture. White, black whatever. The pen makes it solid and the airbrush and water will make it more subtle. Does that help?
Here. If you meant a simple solid square border around a picture here's one I did using simply using the outline square tool. Paint BBS, Shi, and Lascaux all have it so I don't think you'll have a problem making simple borders. |
