I saw the prettiest container of rice today at the grocery store, it just caught my eye for some reason, it was in a clear thing that looked a litle bit like a pitcher, and the label said "Jasmine Rice", and that it was imported from Thailand. I thought about your family and wished I could ask what the difference was, if there was any, and I almost bought it... I only put it back because it was really expensive. (I guess I remembered correctly that you said your wife is from Thailand?)
That, of course, has nothing to do with this over and ABOVE advanced painting. There ought to be a law against being stupid, don't you think? Then we wouldn't have to tolerate the presence of people like mikron up there. It's a beautiful name and a beautiful painting. I love the yellow in it.
Thanks guys. Yes, Thailand... well actually she was born in Laos then they moved to Thailand.
Jasmine rice has a nice fragrance and it's very very white. Nipha says she likes it alot.
Is it the pen tool you use to get these broad strokes of color? I think what I admire about your work is your not afraid to do bold strokes like these, you don't seem worried about over blending things, you just let loose. It's one of the things I've never felt brave enough to do comfortably. It's great, stunning :) all those things and I wish I can be as free as this.
this is lovely. my husband walked by and saw this and said, "if that were done with oils, people would buy it." It looks like paint. Really likeable...!
I've been watching and trying to analyze this for a long time... mesmerized by it, actually, and it isn't any "technique" that he can teach us, it's the magical talent that some artists possess that makes us "feel" what they are feeling... emotion in a brushstroke. First of all, the artist has to feel it, and then he has to possess the intellect, the talent, and most of all the desire to depict it for the sole reason of sharing what he feels. Dan possesses that ability. It's such a rare and beautiful combination.
yes... if only i would've been an asshole who could paint like this...the ppl would treat me right. it shows.
Anyway, I wansn't talking about the painting. the painting is advanced.
It was an "Axil-Asshole-Sting" style. like he used to do to people.
Sorry, I'm just not a hypocrite.
DBA : Some people who you're not considering as stupid will think that i'm not stupid, and thats where your law will fail :)
I entirely agree with Sweet on the bold colors, I myself are obsessed with blend blend blend so seeing this work so extremely well is enviable. This also appeals to me because of your wifes pose. It looks intimate without feeling intrusive. If that makes sense.

Theres no need to continue any arguing or name calling. just look at the picture or go draw :p
The surrounding environment is very cool in colours, then transpires to these great warm colours from your wife.
Definately deserves to be in advanced.
