hideyourface (Apr 7, 2007)
poem i wrote.I left it on. I left the light on. Before it was on, I hoped he had gone. When I turned the light on, And the darkness had gone. I knew- I’d be dead before dawn. When the cold had come, When it ran down my arm, It had come like a shock. My body was numb, Like a cold steel alarm, Bound to the floor. Though there wasn’t a lock. My throat had gone dry. My cry came as whimpers. I couldn’t ask why Its face crept upon me. I couldn’t explain (Though I try in last breaths) How it said it would kill me. Before the sun broke. Before clouds that were red! When a surreal being took My life, I was dead.
