This is Unico from the movie "Unico In the Island of Magic". I saw this movie when I was about 6 years old and I still love it to this day. It's such a unique movie, the story is so bizarre and the animation is trippy. I highly recommend you rent or buy this movie, it's awesome.

Very awesome :]
I've never seen this movie, but it looks adorable~
Looked the original up on the internet, and this is even better!
jaded angel: That's the movie, it looks better on film obviously but you can see the whole movie there, pretty neat.
enjoydotcom: "Are my eyes deceiving me, or is the right part of the background lighter than the left part?" Yes, there is a light to dark gradient. :)
I think people are turned off by the idea because they think it's "cheating" (and because they don't read my descriptions) but they don't understand it's not all that different than drawing directly in the applet, it just makes a couple things easier. And anyone who has a problem with this technique needs to lighten up, I don't want to listen to you be ignorant.
Ok, I just confused myself. Nevermind.
It's a perdy dragon. 8)
Second; when making a new font, you have to make new letters, 26 of them (as well numbers, punctuation marks, etc.). Each time you make a new font, you get a blank table displaying each character/letter a font can have, you fill out the table with your own letters/characters you designed to complete the font. To do this, you select a letter from this table and import or paste whatever image/letter you wish to represent that letter when you type it (keeping in mind, the image must be all solid black or it won't work). So let's say I make a new font called "FuggleNuts", to start off, I import or paste a smiley face to represesnt the letter 'A' on the font table. So now, every time I type the letter 'A' using the "FuggleNuts" font, I get a smiley face instead of just the letter 'A'. You would continue that process for each letter, maybe a flower for the letter 'B' and a key for the letter 'C', and so on until you finish all the letters/character in the font.
And last, you could outline a cat for proportions or line art, I'm all for that, but also note you can import original drawings.
And I knew it was a unicorn, but my mind wus scrambled figuring this out. ;)
The way you explained using your font trick, to me it isn't cheating. But maybe I think that because I'm still smitten with the little guy. :D
Oh and just because it's expensive, doesn't make it any easier to use. I think it's safe to assume Illustrator isn't in every ones home because of it's specific function and it's difficulty to use, not just the price. oO
however, that's really tangential to a deeper point that goes against the grain of what 2draw is supposed to be. there is a reason you cannot paste or upload work on 2draw, the idea is that artistic skill aside, everyone is on the same playing field. different tools have different affordances. it is arguably akin to using a motorcycle in the tour de france. granted, 2draw isn't a competition, but at the very least I think it is fair to say that it is misleading people.
another way to look at it: would you like it if people could upload or paste in image files of any sort? I mean, I could easily add that option to 2draw.
I'm curious more on what people think on adding uploading/pasting to 2draw.
