thanks! they are usually made up! I have to get some references to work from, because i feel they may be a bit bland....

they're really not though, you seem to know already just where to place the right colors, I have to use references all the time

I do a lot of painting, from my imagination as well as references... I have to think through where a shadow would go, I also doodle a lot and try and work stuff out by talking to myself! I reckon its mainly just lots of practice, and even so I get stuff wrong.. I really admire the people here who are photorealistic!

I talk to myself but it doesn't make me draw better...maybe cuz I don't listen.. heheh
