I have to come back in here and defend the windmill, it doesn't look like an afterthought to me at all, the angles of the blades on a windmill are extremely difficult to do, and I think it looks fragile and weathered like most windmills do now. Were it any more detailed or prominent, it would take away from the focal point of the painting, which is not the windmill, it's the point where the sun is shining over and through the barn.

No private lessons, I asked a stupid question in the forums (because we all know I have no problem with being known as blonde and therefore mildly retarded :D), and he told me... you just click start, run, type in charmap I think it is... and then select, copy, paste. Even an old gray headed moron like you can figure it out. :)
Well this is a fun, and funny, comment conversation here to wake up to! Dave, when you click start, don't you have a "run" option to click? It would give you a box to type in.

The Windmill wasn't a second thought but in the ref it was a perfectly new looking mill so I decided to age it a bit. I agree that it's hard to get the angle of the blades correct! another reason to make them torn!!!! tanks all =)
