Dave: You can, sort of. The trick is, you make your lineart into a font character/letter. All you need is a font maker and really solid lineart. I can't draw line work with Lascaux very well so this shortcut will allow me to do a lot more. It makes Lascaux like Photoshop, at least in regards to coloring line art. :D
It's not too hard but it does take a little work. It was trial and error for me, the first few times the linework was pixelated and choppy. And don't forget to set your text box to 'anti-alias' in Lascaux, that makes the linework sharp.
