and if you don't watch where you step you might step on a cow patty. I have to brag, I can't help it (since it seems to be what "we Texans" do best, anyway) My nieces showed their calves at the Heart of Texas Longhorn show, all four of them placed and since they were the prettiest girls at the fair, as well (and I am not biased :) I am a proud Aunt so I wanted to share the photos I took there.

One other niece not pictured in that particular photo also placed, if you look through the album you can see them all with their calves.

They really are cute kids.. I bet that was a thrill for them..

they smell a whole lot better on the grill than they do in the arena or the stalls :)

ohhh.... and I forgot to mention that since the most difficult part of showing the longhorn calves is the two hours it takes to bathe, condition, and brush them before the show.... they smell dayam good after that. Better than the cowboys do. :) Ever tried to give a bath to a belligerent bull calf? haaaaa.... party dowwwwwn. :D fun!
