Last thing I remember was saying,
"Hey y'all, watch this." Next thing I know I'm walking toward this light
When a voice from out of nowhere asked this question.
"Garth, what did you love most in your past life?"
"Well," I said, "it had to be between cowgirls and horses."
And as I wondered which one that I would settle on,
The voice said, "May you be happy with your answer."
I said, "What answer?" He said, "Watch this." And I was gone.

Now I'm back as a cowgirl's saddle
Heaven on Earth for all eternity
Forever in between
Every cowboy's dream
Riding horses, holding rodeo queens

Sew me, show me, throw me in the pickup
Take me, break me, make me what you need
It's safe to say we're made for one another
And you'll never fall if you just stick with me

Fit me, sit me, get me how you want me
Wrap me, strap me, slap me on your steed
Can't believe I'm out here flying with an angel
Oh this afterlife's sure looking up for me

Loping, roping, hoping that you're happy
Racing, placing, chasing all your dreams
Makes me think if I'd lived life a little better
Would I've come back as a pair of cowgirl jeans

Every cowboy's dream
You know just what I mean
Riding horses, holding rodeo queens

Garth is naughty.

"Cowgirls drink to make cowboys more interesting." I'm quoting someone else, I have no idea who, but that's the TRUTH.

This wasn't really finished, but now it is because I made promises I can't keep with all this junk sitting in my studio. *throws sheet over paintings*

looks don enough to me love that sky
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 17, 2007)
HAHA... I told you it wasn't finished. That's not sky, it's a hill with dead grass. lol
davincipoppalag (Apr 17, 2007)
YOU took the rest of the glue not me!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 17, 2007)
No, I don't do glue. I'm surrounded by cowboys, so I'm drinking. HEH.

(just kidding... coffee... it's too late to be drinking it, but the other stuff gets me into a WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE) the cowboys will just have to stay boring
Miss_DJ (Apr 17, 2007)
that's my favorite color horsey. I can smell the leather of that saddle...ahhhh. nice draw, Cindy...is this you?
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 17, 2007)
Oh how I wish it were me. :)... It isn't me right now, at all. I haven't been on a horse in a long time. The last "mountable" horse we had was a spunky quarter horse named Lady, my Daddy loved her, we all did... he sent her to school and everything, but she had a wild streak, she didn't want to be "learned"... :)...she kept teasing the bull and he ended up killing her. We have one horse left (it's one of the ones my Uncle rescued from the 9-11 thing... crazy New York horses.) The most I can do with her is slap her on the ass to get her out of my way, and that takes courage. (the other 9-11 horse threw my daughter off and broke her arm... it died shortly after... probably from "dust inhalation" due to the long trailer ride from New York to Texas. Yes, I have a crazy Uncle. My whole family is crazy.

Besides the fact that I have this tendency lately to break bones doing "normal" things... the people that work in the radiology department of my local hospital laugh and say... here comes the "bullrider"... I haven't ever been on a bull but that's what my x-rays look like. :D sigh. I'm going to buy another horse or two just because I like to "snuzzle" with them. Maybe one will be sweet enough to take me gently for a ride. :)

I have decided to limit my sports to those where the falls are on water. Surfing is still an option. :D
Kloxboy (Apr 17, 2007)
I like the bright colors you used, you're bold like that. :)
Sweetcell (Apr 17, 2007)
One day you may come back to this, and I hope you do (I just worked on an old piece I did in 2005 I never finished, now I did) You do these kinds of pictures beautifully, you can really see your passion for the Texas life you love in all of them.

Oh, glue, trust me I've seen what sniffing that stuff does, you don't wanna do it.

I love this, I looked at a lot of your pictures from a link on your empty chair drawing and I had to show them to my daughter. She raises horses and is in love with them. She also is a rider and she does a lot of rodeos and shows. I wish one day I could get you to draw her riding. I have a link of her riding in a competition, http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/63458872 I have tried, but I am not so good at stuff and I would like a pro like you to capture the beauty of her riding. It is just amazing, but so is this picture. I have admired your work since day one of being here. Great job!
davincipoppalag (Apr 18, 2007)
Oh cripes Susie...there's gonna be no livin' with her now! hehehe
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 18, 2007)
Well, how could I say no, after that? :)
Thank you Dymples, I would love to paint your daughter and her horse, they are both very beautiful. I do have a couple of promises I have to keep here before I can start on it, but if you are willing to be patient I promise to try.
davincipoppalag (Apr 18, 2007)
Ohhh that's gonna be fun to see!!!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 18, 2007)
If I remember correctly, I think I did one of gloworm's daughter and her horse in competition. It's been so long I don't know where in my galleries it would be. That one was fun to do.
KuteDymples (Apr 18, 2007)
Yes....Gladly. Patience is usually not one of my virtues, but for that I can wait as long as it takes. I thank you from the bottom of my heart just for the consideration. There were many pictures of her on her horse, but the one that the link takes you directly to is the one that I really like. It's entirely up to you though. Thanks again! You are such a sweetheart.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Apr 18, 2007)
hah... "NO, I'm NOT A SWEETHEART!" :D *stomps foot* ... I used to react that way when I was little, and so do my nieces, it's so funny. lol Don't call us nice, sweet, etc....just call me by my name, and I'll do whatever you ask. :)

I am only inspired by people who truly appreciate what I do. I have tried to do "art for money"... "art for recognition"...ain't happenin'... it only works when I'm inspired with a passion. If somebody's going to appreciate and love it and cherish it when I get it right, I'm willing to do my best with no return, which is all I have to offer. I'm not worried about keeping that promise, I understand fiery women and fiery horses... which is exactly what I saw in the link. That's one very beautiful, stubborn woman and one wild-eyed horse she has, there. :)
davincipoppalag (Apr 18, 2007)
I remember that picture...I dunno where it is either but i definately remember it. Yea..don't call Cindy nice.. cripes next thing you know she will be caring for orphaned birds and feeding stray cats... horrors!!!!
KuteDymples (May 2, 2007)
Yes, she is fiery all right, in fact her 23rd birthday is today and I have heard about if for the last week. She wants me to cook for her today, which of course I am going to, but since she is my youngest (and a spoiled child at that-well young woman now) Her horses are her life, I think she has 6 of them now. She has just recently started a dog breeding business also and does really well with that. But...I am sorry and will NEVER call you a Sweetheart again! LOL
