Im just wondering what is the main contributor that racks up the sise ( not dimentions) .. It always seems Im at or real close to 1.5 megs on my picks and only about 1/2 way finished. I do alot of undo's and my stile tends to be fairly detailed, and I have looked around at similar pics and it seem they keep theres smaller in meg sise. Obviously a larger dimention drawing is going to be hudge megs, but I dont realy draw on that big of a canvas. Does anyone know why this is happening to me, or maby give me some advise to have finished picks that are smaller that 1.5 megs. This has come up becuse of having to ask the mods about getting more sise to finish drawings, and I dont always feel like bothering over something that may be able to be avoided. That and im sometimes too lazy to ask and to bother with bugging a moderator.
thanks!

It doesn't take that large of a canvas to use up the space, that is the main factor, I believe. The number of layers and revisions are the second factor, if I'm not mistaken... which I could be, because I pretty much know close to nothing.

I know that using the airbrush and blur alot will eat up those kbs.

I'm not sure about this but the amount of strokes you incorporate into an image may also be a factor.

I used to think the number of brush strokes was a factor, as well.. I know it isn't in the Lascaux, for sure, because I asked Marcello that very question a long time ago... he said it isn't.

Canvas size is a big factor...so are layers...so is the blending thingy...merge the layers you are happy with when you submit before the next revision...helps some.
