Aliana awoke on the floor of a cold stone cell. Her head throbbed, almost as bad as that gunshot wound. She glanced around the cell as her eyes focused to the dank light. No windows and the walls were made of an old masonry style. The room was about the size of an outhouse and possibly underground. A single thick wooden door was placed at one end and an old cot was strapped to the wall on the other end. Aliana collected herself quickly realizing she’d been stripped down to her undergarments. She cursed under her breathe as she lifted herself up. The pain from the gunshot wound shot through her got and she grasped the wound out of instinct. Surprisingly enough they left a fresh wrapping over the wound which was a sign that they weren’t finished with her yet.
Aliana began inspecting the door for anyway she could open it. After what felt like an hour she stopped. Not a single crack she could exploit on the door. The only crack around the door was the small bit of light that crept in under the door, which was her only light source. She inspected the walls with her hands and once again no findings. Footsteps came from a distant hall outside the door and they grew steadily closer. Aliana quickly tried to think of a place she could somehow escape when they, or if they were going to open the door. She knew there was nothing to do so she readied herself. The footsteps grew louder and louder as the rattling of plate mail became obvious. The footsteps stopped outside the door as the rattling of keys flowed through the air. The lock began to turn and stopped. “Are you going to comply with us spy?” A light female voice asked. Aliana chose not to answer. “Have it your way human.” The voice came back. Aliana knew that implied that the others on the other side of the door were probably some type of elf or a well cultured Orc. The door quickly opened and Aliana was met by two tall wood elves armed with rapiers. A female wood elf dressed in stitched clothes clothing stood behind them. She looked Aliana in the eyes with her brown eyes. A bit of her light brown hair hung low to the left of her eyes and was tied back into a long ponytail. “Spy, if you do not cooperate with us you shall be punished accordingly. If you attempt to escape you will be killed. Am I clear human?” She asked. She clearly didn’t like humans due to her obvious ending every sentence with the word human. Aliana thought for a second and decided to go along with them by nodding. The other two wood elves put clasps on Aliana’s wrists and began escorting her out of what looked like an old dungeon. They quickly followed the other wood elf through a short series of halls and they stopped at a large metal door. She pulled out a large key ring which contained at least thirty keys on it and she thoughtlessly picked a key and opened the door. She stepped off to the side and the two guards pushed Aliana in and they slammed the door behind her. The room was pitch black and smelled of rot. Light lit the room from behind bars on the other side of the room. The three wood elves came in and the woman was holding a torch. She lit two others in the room and placed the one she was holding in a small hole in a table behind the bars. “You are going to tell me why you were in our master’s territory spy.” She demanded. “You know I’ve no answer for you.” Aliana replied. The wood elf sighed and slowly moved an object on the other side of the wall below the bars. The wall opposite to the bars slid open and two ugly looking Orcs came in. “Hold her down.” The elf ordered. Aliana tried to push one back. It was like pushing a brick wall, not even a nudge. The other Orc grabbed her shoulders and held her tightly. The other grabbed her feet tightly as Aliana struggled for a moment and realized it was useless. A strange sound came from where the wall had slid open. It sounded like a bellows pumping. Aliana turned her head and the Orc jerked her head back so she couldn’t look. Another Orc came forward with a metal rod with a glowing hot end. “Once more human, what information were you after? Or what information have you already acquired?” She demanded. Aliana decided not to respond and the wood elf nodded. The Orc pressed the metal against the skin on her stomach. Aliana let out a small yelp and cringed. She heard the flesh sizzle for a moment and she shifted her eyes down as the Orc pulled the rod away. A small bit of flesh was cooked onto the end. He went back and shoved it into a furnace and she heard the bellow pump once. “Again human, tell me.” Aliana closed her eyes and ignored the elf. She felt the rod press against her stomach again on the opposite side. She bit her lip trying not to shout out… Aliana found herself face down in her cell again. Her skin swelled from the burns as she rolled over off of them. She crawled back towards the door, towards the light, to see what damage had been done. Sixteen of them… Each spot the skin was slightly blackened around the edges of each burn and the raw flesh was exposed under the skin. She breathed deeply as she tried to stand up but her muscles seemed almost drained. She used the wall as a support and slowly made her way towards the cot. She lay down slowly on the cot and wrapped her arms on her chest. She knew she wasn’t getting out of this easily. |

What are you people so pissed off about? You're allowed to post stories on this board.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Aug 15, 2006)
I'm not pissed, who is? I just thought the story in itself was strange, thus the WTF...
(I thought it was rather refreshing to see something different posted, actually, but as usual I was at a loss for words :) |

It's a change. This is an art site, but some of the people here are more accustomed to seeing visual art, not literary art.
I'd like to see some more stories myself. But I'm more of a fanfic person, because I'm a stupid young person. :D |

I actually love reading stuff, here, as much as I enjoy viewing the art. I think more people with literary talent should post their creative writing. Maybe my WTF sounded rude, actually looking back on it, it probably did... I didn't mean for it to... I just wanted to comment, wanted the person to know I noticed it, but wasn't sure what to say.

Had no idea you could post stories, I thought only art. My apologies, yours is the first I've seen and I found it strange. Carry on.
