I really liked the photo reference, and I thought it would be so cool to draw because of the colors. They are so delicious XD; I especially like the pinks and the blue in his eye. I really want need that eyeshadow that he has o___o; I so love that color 8DD;~~

Who are all these rock groups? I never heard of any of them, are they only known in Europe? And why do they all look like girls?

Other than my confusion this is quite a well done piece. He looks mischievious, but introspective. I think the hands are alright. All you need is a darker shadow on the face to make them stand out. But I see your out of space and I know after awhile when your close to a finished piece you don't feel like going back and putting a few tweaks in it. I call this a well done finished piece Pakasutemanshikuka.

Btw, is the name Indian? Just curious.

Ayabie is a Japanese rock band, so Aoi is a Japanese name. From what I know, Aoi means blue, but it could have an entirely different meaning depending upon the way they spell it in Kanji. And a lot of them look like girls because...well...I don't know, I guess they like being pretty? o_o; I can't really answer that question.

Male musicians that look like females... it's really not all that uncommon, just look at the big hair bands of the 80's in America. Then there's also Boy George, Prince and more recently Marilyn Manson. I personally care more about the way the music sounds than the way the singers look, except with Shakira (she's hot).

Oh don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it, as you say look at all the hair bands (and for that you can thank Kiss for starting it) It's just these Japanese male bands REALLY look like women so when I see someone paint a portrait of the group or singer I get total confusion. They can pass so easily as drag queens it's frightening.

Bah and apox on Boy George and Prince, never got into their music. There was a waste of record space (admittedly Prince knew how to write and play a mean guitar and had a few good songs. Kay, don't know where I'm going with that.)

Soo, Rina kinda answered to your questions. I'm now that tired that I won't take a part of that conversation +_+ I just came home from another Japanese band's gig 8''D But they weren't girly men! I went to the waiting line of the gig at 6:30am, I woke up at 5am and have been standing and doing such exhausting stuff all day! I just got back home about 30 min ago and I just had to come online and write stuff about my wonderful day ;~; Gaah, you're intrested. Gosh, the gig was awesome.
