i love afi and dare new cd it rocks i love miss murder

their new album is not good. I didn't like sing the sorrow when it came out, but it is much more listenable than this new thing. They're losing their originality.

i think they are gaining more originality.
they sounded like every other punk band in their early years
now they have a unqiue sound.

they're experimenting too much and are losing their originality. Davey's screaming on black sails was incredibly original and Jade's sound and the way he plays barre chords is really unique. They're turning into this typical soft rock kind of band.

hmmmm...well, I think AFI has different music and I like that. Sure, there's screaming and junk and some of the new songs are....well, I don't know different . I don't think they are soft rock though.....but, if you only listened to songs like "Love Like Winter", "The Interview", and "Summer Shudder" I can see how you get that "soft rock thing".Those songs still have a bit of a difference from soft rock. But I mean songs like "Kill Caustic","Affliction" and "Miss Murder". Different story. I should know, I actually bought Decemberunderground. Then again what do I know, music is my life. soooooo......hope you guys like the picture, I've seemed to have started quite a conversation.... :)

well I listened to decemberunderground and there only like 2 fast songs. On older albums they'd have no or fvery few slow songs. Im just saying they're getting slower and slower. And i mean.. Kill Caustic or maybe it was 37mm, sounds exactly like alexisonfire or some other crappy screamo band. The guitar and vocals do.

ohhh....ok maybe it's because I've haven't really listened to their older songs in a while......I see your point there.
