Contest Week 18: Album Covers

Your goal this week is to design an album cover. The album cover must be based on a real band or musician, be it a small garage band that only a couple people know of OR some mega famous musician like Elvis Presley. As long as the band/musician exists, you can use them. Please design your album cover in one of the following ways:

Use an existing band/musician and make up an album title: Here you can make up an album title for an existing band. For example, you might make an album cover for The Beatles and call it The Whiter Album or Pink Submarine, what have you. In other words, the band exists but the album title you would make up yourself.

Use an existing band/musician and an existing album title: For example, here you might make an album cover for The Beatles (an existing band) and base it on The White Album (an existing Beatles album). You don't copy The White Album cover art, you illustrate it the way you want to, you're just using the existing album title, do not copy the existing album art.

As always, do not copy other artists work!

Things to consider adding to your album cover (BUT NOT REQUIRED):
- band/musician name
- album name

Creativity: The amount of imagination, originality and expressiveness that was put into the entry.
Technique & Effort: The amount of style, skill and craft that was put into the entry.
Following the Theme: How well the entry followed the theme of the contest.

I think I'll draw a picture of the white album just for kicks.

Well this is perfect. A friend of mine knows a reggae band and they've commisioned me to do an album cover. I won't be getting any money but I will have my name as the cover artist so I can do it here and truly do a good job. Great choice Clox.
