Snot balls from a snot dragon don't burn then. So would the snot then be like a stcky substance that hardens and makes the victim imobile so the dragon can eat at his leisure? Am I putting too much into this? Do you have a magical wand that allows you to do these pieces so fast and so realistically? Whats your favorite color? Do you like walking along the beach and rubber? Am I asking too many questions?
I was thinking more along the lines of say.... rubber motor mounts or rubber sink stoppers...things like that. What were you thinking of? Catches on what?
