Contest Week 14: Movie Posters

This week your goal is to illustrate a movie poster. You can illustrate a blockbuster, independent, foreign or animated film. You can pick any genre (action, comedy, horror, drama, etc). Please do not use home movies, porno movies or instructional tapes. You must pick a movie that already exists, do not make up a movie or pick a movie that is still in production. Please do not copy from existing movie posters.

Consider including the following elements in your poster (but not required):

- The main characters of the movie.
- The title of the movie.
- The credits, movie rating, promo lines and company logos.

Below are some examples of well designed movie posters (in my opinion):

Lord of the Rings
Spiderman
Pirates of the Caribbean
Harry Potter

Contest "Week 14" will be open for entries as of 5/14 9:00pm PST to 5/20 11:59 PST.

Kristine: The credits, movie rating, promo lines and company logos are just suggestions, they're not required.

So, if I'm reading this right you can't copy an ACTUAL movie poster, just use it as a guidline, is that right?

And congrats to zep, and the others.

Sweetcell: You can use an existing movie poster as a guidline if you like.

TAKE NOTE: You can pick existing movies but you cannot copy existing movie posters. For instance, you can illustrate a poster for "The Pirates of the Caribbean" but you can't copy the "The Pirates of the Caribbean" movie posters that already exist.
