Well, I decided recently to do a series of lineart for each of the seven deadly sins :D I already did Lust, which Maiko will color.
The next sin I'm drawing will be Envy, but I don't know how to draw him/ her. D: I need suggestions on what to do. I haven't come up with anything so far. =__=;

you might be interested that caravaggio once painted the seven acts of mercy all in one painting here. They're sort of a counterpart to the seven sins, I think.

I'm not ripping from FMA, nor did I decide to start this because of them. I didn't take the idea from that show, but from Pope Gregory I, who originated the concept. I had to do a project for World History on the Seven Deadly Sins. It's not like FMA were the first to use them ever ever. -__-; I got insipered by being forced to do a project on them for school.
A sin cannot be male nor female, but in human form, which I choose to draw them as, they will be either ( but I haven't decided yet for Envy).
P.S.: I know it's a guy in the anime, btw. :3

I don't know what it was that you painted for lust, but I think the story of David and Bathsheba depicted in a painting would be the ultimate for lust. That story is just way too sexy to be in the Bible, even. I have often thought of painting it, but I'm waiting until I'm good enough. :)

well if you were still looking for ideas for envy you could do him/her clothed in green with small disc-like mirrors attached like sequins-each mirror holding a picture or reflection of something people envy-money-cars-love-houses-etc. You could have them with an orb-like ball that they are either looking into with envy or are showing the viewer smugly trying to get you to envy whatever picture is portayed in the globe
