To Maiko: Considering I can only do this with my mouse (I don't have a tablet) and this is my first ever attempt at BBS drawing, and that I had to do it with my right hand (I am left handed), I would say that it turned out pretty good.
To Zeofar: I do plan on adding more ot it, but I want to make it good, so I'm not going to scribble it all on right away.
why'd you set it on finished then...? (but you can still go back to it even if it's done)you could've left it hidden unfinished so you can work on it without people seeing and when you're done, just put it on finish ^^; *shrugs*
there are plenty of people who are left handed who mouse here :\ and having a mouse isnt an excuse for not putting effort into your pictures.
next time, if it's not done don't set it as finished.
To Maiko: There may be other left-handed users on here, but in order for a left handed person to draw well with their right hand, it takes a lot of practice. Most left handed people set their computer mouse for left-handed use, I don't because I am the only left-handed person who uses this computer. I have a full time job and am a full time college student, I don't have a lot of time to practice. And, as a side note, I DID put effort into it, but it's the first time I've ever tried to draw with my right hand, so I'd say I did pretty good, all things considered. And I wasn't making an excuse, why would I care to excuse myself to the likes of you? You're not special, so I don't care about your opinion. You may be a moderator, but that doesn't make you a god or a good art critic. There are many different art styles in the world. Obviously, you disagree. And I was hoping for some CONFSTRUCTIVE criticism, something you apparently are incapable of. sorry, I thought this was a website for real artists. My bad, I won't come back.
You must have spent at least twice as long writing that scathing reply as you did drawing. When you spend more time drawing than I spend making a sandwich, maybe then you won't sound like a complete idiot when you talk shit.
I don't care if you're an air traffic controller. Six minutes drawing is garbage. If you have any desire to move past kindergarten doodles you'll have to find a way to make more time for practice. I recommend drawing for at least a half an hour at a time for beginning artists. Most of the art classes I've taken run for three hours straight, with a brief break in the middle.
If you really want constructive criticism, you need to show you're worth the effort of making it. Asking for constructive criticism on a 6-minute doodle is like mashing a random chord on a keyboard and asking a musician to critique it. I hope that example helps explain the harshness of our comments.
Here's my reply...
:] don't worry, we don't need people like you who make up excuses and then say that spending 6 minutes on a picture is "effort"
also, I may not be "special" but I do have the power to delete your pictures. By saying that this picture was drawn with effort, you insult the entire community. You think YOU'RE the only one who's busy with college/work? Are you saying no one else is as busy as you?
On a side note, I used to mouse with my right hand, and I'm also left handed, so don't make yourself look like some kind of victim.
If you are leaving, then good riddance, we don't need ill mannered people like you on this site anyway.
Tarakitten.... You cannot give this BS to Mai, she does too critize well, and I don't care, what you said seems right, but still, 6 minutes for a drawing isn't a full effort.... Sow hat if you're left handed? if you need more practice with your right hand, then practice! or just move the mouse over to the left and use it over there? ^^
you're a college student and you work full time, then don't send things that aren't you know, worth it, you didn't have to send it, you could've left it unfinished and worked more on it-later, bit by bit and if you'd need more room, just memo a mod. things aren't hard to do, but i'm afraid to say... the effort you said you put into this doesn't seem all too... I don't know, real. seems like your sort of effort maybe just a quick doodle a really quick one.... for me.. my drawings take hours and i try really hard, I make time ro draw, i love to draw and i'm not letting go of my passion, if you want to practice more then try to make more time if youw ant, let it rest and go back to draiwng when you have time, don't just draw stuff like this and say it's finished because it isn't
If you just want to sketch or doodle for a mere 6 minutes and not worry about honest critisism, go to youdraw, not only will they puff up your ego, you might actually learn how to sketch better there. When your ready to put more of an effort into your pieces, then come on back. I love this site.
I drew with a mouse until just recently. ...Okay, bad example.
But anyways, my mouse pictures were actually better than the ones I've been doing recently. Because I guess back then, I put more effort (key word) into my images.
Anyways, yeah, I agree with what Maiko said
drawn in 6 min

just thought it needed to be highlighted.
Leave it to staci to make the most truthfully awesome remark.
Leave it to Zack to make the most truthfully awesome remark! And leave it to staci to bring it to full attention.
Good job, both of you XD
so having a mouse isn't an excuse.
hakkai does? *Shock + Shame*
