The white is deliberate, wanted it to look..Star-like, or something. Meh. I can do better. >.<;

It's a pretty good start you have. For the white I'd say that it's best if it looks like it's on purpose without having to say it. Maybe if there were more specs of white in the background and on the shirt/hat?
